A couple of weeks ago I visited Coffee and Clay in Skipton to celebrate my good friend Chloe’s 22nd birthday.
Coffee & Clay is a small café, on the main cobbled high street in
Skipton, where you can sip tea and munch cake along side painting some cute
pottery of your choice, which you can take away and keep. Amazing!
They also provide great party packages in
the evenings… read on to find out more about my visit and see what I thought of
Coffee and Clay!
Chloe had booked the top room out for
the evening, which holds up to twenty-eight people. We could choose from a large
selection of unpainted pots to decorate in a variety of prices, anything from £5 -
£40. I wanted something cheap but pretty to decorate my room so chose a small
but quaint jug to paint at £12, although I was very tempted to go for a teapot!
The brushes, paints and aprons were all provided you just bring your own alcohol along. The staff were so friendly and chatty, and were willing to help with any problem you had. They also put on a yummy buffet for us as we booked as a party.

Chloe is one of my oldest and dearest
friends. I have known her since we were both in primary school and I also feel honored that she has chosen me to be one of her bridesmaids at her wedding in
2016, which I am very excited about. Although we both live in the north our
busy lives mean I don’t see her as much as I would like. So it’s always great
to catch up when we can and over a glass of wine or two is even better.
I
would recommend Coffee and Clay to anyone looking for an alternative,
affordable evening with friends. I
love getting all my friends together and doing something creative, and this was
a great way to share a night, catch up, celebrate and drink wine as well as
making something unique and handmade.
Here is my finished jug once I got it back from
being glazed a few weeks later. It helps brighten up my room and looks perfect
filled my gorgeous fresh flowers from the garden.
Looks like fun :) I love your blog and I have followed you with Bloglovin, if you ever get a chance to check out my blog I would be delighted, thanks! Best wishes.
