Travel | Weekend in Harrogate

Last weekend I celebrated my twenty fourth birthday and as a treat my boyfriend, Tom took me away for the night to the beautiful Yorkshire town of Harrogate. It is only an hours drive away from where I live, so Tom came up from London and I packed my bag and together we drove over on Saturday, ready to explore.

We stayed in a really cute B&B called The Arc Hotel which was just off the main street and really easy to find. After we dropped our things off we headed out to explore Harrogate's pretty gardens and quaint town center.

We sat outside a small, quirky cafe just off the main shopping street for lunch and watched the world go by whilst sipping on some tea. I love just watching people passing by and going about their day, shopping, browsing or chatting.

Harrogate has some beautiful parks and gardens. Valley Gardens was within easy walking distance from the center. We headed over there to stroll along the paths which were lined with the most beautiful flower beds and hanging baskets full of colourful flowers.

I layered up as it was starting to feel cooler in the autumn weather. This jumper is from Zara which I bought in Barcelona, my shorts are from Topshop a couple of years ago and I threw on my leather jacket for added warmth.

In the morning we headed to Betty's Tea Rooms for breakfast! It was a lovely treat and end to the weekend. Harrogate is such a pretty town, it was the perfect present for me, I love exploring new towns and cities around Britain there is so much to see.

What are your favourite British towns to visit? I am thinking I would love to visit Brighton soon as it somewhere I have never been. Maybe Ill treat Tom this time!
