My PFW Favourites

Hi guys,
Paris Fashion week comes second after London as my favourite fashion week.

I feel Paris is a bit more sophisticated, chic and formal compared to the grungier more rebellious London. I love seeing the differences in designs and styles shown at Paris there are some amazing designers showcasing here. It is well know for being the home to some well established giants of the fashion world such as Chanel, Valentino and Lavin to name a few. So I had a hard job picking the best to show you, but here are the ones I LOVED and that really inspired me from this year Paris fashion week!

Chanel
Chanel has long been a favourite of mine.
Whist at uni I would often refer to past collection for inspiration as they are known for the innovative woven jackets, coats and outfits.

There was certainly no lack of inspiration this year. Model after model showed a rainbow of coloured woven designs mixed with brightly paint stroke prints. My favourite was the red and blue check box blazer and matching high waisted skirt wore by Charlotte Free. I love the use of colour in the show and how each year Chanel creates a really exciting different show but still refers to their trademark woven suit that its famous for.

 Stella McCartney

Those statement necklaces caught my eye straight away. I am a sucker for a chunky oversized necklace especially when paired with a really simple silhouette like Stella has done. There was plenty of laid back cool girl strappy dresses which flared and floated around the models knees or ankles. I am already dreaming of next summer seeing this collection, bring on long lazy days by the beach wearing in loose pastel tones dresses and Birks.

Balenciaga

Although Balenciaga’s style is bit more cool and androgynous than my every day style, I still love this brand as it always shows creativity with the use of textures and shapes. The sheer sections blocked out in garments really caught my eye this season. I felt they were really wearable especially on necklines and sleeves on dresses. The fish net over layers add a cool edginess to the garments but in pastel pinks and blues they remind wearable and feminine.

I hope you have enjoyed my review of my favourite shows from Fashion Weeks, I can't believe its over for another season. Catching up with all the shows, street styles and seeing who's on the front rows makes me feel as if I am actually there and involved. I would love to hear what your thoughts of PFW and which designers inspire you.
I am already looking forward to February.

  4. Love this so much! I love Stella and Chanel (and Balenciaga, too). This season's PFW showings were pretty good! Conceptual, but easy to replicate too!
