Hi Guys,
I have been having a clear out of my wardrobe recently and
been replacing old clothes with new season updates. Jeans are a staple which I
wear a lot and because of this I often buy a new pair each season to replace
the old, well worn ones.
Instead of throwing my old jeans out this season I
thought I would recycle them and do a little DIYing on them. I love the ripped
jean trend this season so thought it was the perfect excuse to grab the
scissors and chop away.
This is a really easy
DIY that can be done in 5 minutes, so what are you waiting for?
You will need...
Old pair of jeans
Sandpaper
Scissors
Marker or chalk (optional)
Decide where you want to make you cuts, I chose
the knee of one leg and slightly higher up the thigh on the other. Use a small
square of sandpaper to rub downward towards on the jean. This makes the
material easier to rip and gives a cool worn look.
Make a small cut with scissors in the center
then rip the rest of the slit open.
Fry the edges and cut any threads that don’t add
to overall worn look. Carry on until you are happy with the outcome.
I am going to wear these reworked jeans out shopping with a casual
tee or colourful cami and blazer.

Thanks for reading, I would love to hear if any of you guys have tried this DIY too!
