Statement Cushion
Update your sofa with a pop of colour. A uplifting botanical print cushion will transform any tired looking chair. I like this one from Made.com, it makes a statement on its own, or pair with simple geometric prints in black and white for a spring summer update.

Trends | Colour Spot | Deep Green
As the weather is telling us we are well and truly into
autumn and heading straight for winter, it’s time to start looking for some lovely, new additions to our wardrobes. Autumn is definitely my favourite season
in fashion as the stores are always bursting with warming colours, folksy
patterns and layers of textures.
One particular colour that keeps catching my
eye however is a gorgeous, rich green found on anything from coats to accessories and even co-ords. This colour is deeper than emerald and richer than dark
green but bluer than khaki. Think deep bottle green mixed with autumnal jewel tones, look for wool
or swede textures and if it comes in a sparkly version, ALL THE BETTER!

Get The Look For Less | Colour Blocking
Although London Fashion Week is all wrapped up for another year, our shopping wish lists for spring/summer certainly aren't. With show after show of beautiful garments and amazing street style to be more than envious of, who can blame us for wanting a whole new wardrobe thanks to LFW!?!
One of my favorite fashion blogs Five, Five, Fashion have put together some of the key trends spotted at LFW and, in accosication with Travelex I have chosen one of those trends to show you how to get the look for less on the highstreet!
Colour blocking - This trend is all about simply styling of key garments and colours to make a statement that is laid and chic.
Here's my three ways to wear colour blocking and get the look for less on the high street for under £100.
| One Piece |
Take inspiration from designers such as
Jean-PierreBraganza and Natasha Zinko and colour block in one classic piece. The colour of the season is royal blue and makes a statement on a wide legged jumpsuit. Style with simple nude sandals and a contrasting, colour-pop clutch for a night on the town or layer a simple, white blouse underneath for a chic day look.

Trends | White & Laced
Ok, this trend might not be the most suitable for the fields of
Glasto but nothing compliments a summer-holiday tan more than a gorgeous white
lacey dress, and this year the high street is teeming with them.
I love this
trend as it's a little bit girly & cutesy but with a hippie/boho edge to it.
Dress a simple lace dress up with either lace up gladiators or killer heels for a night out, then a fedora and 70’s inspired boots for the day. Go for off the
shoulder with lots of wrist accessories for that extra on trend bohemian look.

Crochet Trend | Work in Progress
So
I haven't blogged in a while as its been a busy few weeks, but as I
have a bit of time this bank holiday I thought I would show you what I
have been working on in my spare time.
I
am loving the 70's hippie crochet trend at the moment. It's getting me
very excited for the festival season even though I am not going to any
this year. I was inspired by this Rat and Boa crochet kimono to make a casual summer cover up using brightly coloured crocheted granny squares, perfect for the festival season.

5 Lessons in Style from NYFW
As this year’s London fashion week arrives in Somerset house
this weekend I decided to take a look back at the street style from NYFW to pick up some tips from the New Yorkers on how to work the perfect fashion week outfit.
Lesson One
How to Wrap Up Warm
A New Yorker knows how to keep warm so learn from the best.
The over-sized coat was definitely the star of NYFW this year, from ankle
skimming trenches to furry balls of warmth, coats were a winner. Some snuggled
into chunky scarves around their necks while others left their coats open to
reveal layers of perfect styling underneath.
Lesson Two
How to Rock the New Season's IT Trousers
Culottes are cool! Apparently! I was a little unsure at
first...
