The New Kimono Update | 3 Trends to Wear this Summer

I love kimonos! 

They are a summer style staple of mine as they are so easy to throw on over a bikini or jeans and a cami.

  

I just finished making a new kimono this week using this gorgeous oriental, floral fabric and it made me realise just how versatile the kimono really is! I have made a few now and different fabrics makes each one a little unique as well as suiting lots of trends and style. 

So here is a little guide on the top kimono trends and prints for this summer and three ways to wear.

  

Two Ways to Wear | Oversized White Shirt | OOTD

Oversized shirts are one of those summer classics that come out each year and never get old. I have been looking for a big white silky one for a while as I felt it would be so versatile and easy to wear whether on the beach or out for the day. I found this floaty blouse on Asos a few weeks back and wear it pretty much everywhere. It's casual, loose-fitting style means I can throw it on over a top and jeans but it is also long enough to work as a light summer dress when buttoned up.

 I love that I can style it in a few different ways, so I thought I would show you how I would wear my oversized shirt in two different ways...

Lifestyle | 26 Things Before I am 26...

I have wanted to write a post like this for a while and I have been feeling a little pensive at the moment so felt it was the right time. I am turning 25 in three months and some really exciting things are happening in my life at the moment, so instead of doing 25 things before I am 25, as I thought this was a little too soon, I've decided to give myself just over a year to complete some personal goals. By documenting them here I can reflect next year how far I have come as well as giving me a little motivation to complete them. Your twenties is a time when you can still be a little bit selfish and crazy, so feel like its a great way to make sure I do things I have always wanted to do.

Trends | White & Laced

Ok, this trend might not be the most suitable for the fields of Glasto but nothing compliments a summer-holiday tan more than a gorgeous white lacey dress, and this year the high street is teeming with them. 

I love this trend as it's a little bit girly & cutesy but with a hippie/boho edge to it. Dress a simple lace dress up with either lace up gladiators or killer heels for a night out, then a fedora and 70’s inspired boots for the day. Go for off the shoulder with lots of wrist accessories for that extra on trend bohemian look.
